More instrumental madness from the master of the (non-pedal) steel guitar and member of the International Steel Guitar Hall of Fame! This is volume 12 in the acclaimed series "How the West Was Swung!" and it features a tasty collection of pop standards with Morrell's musical genius displayed throughout. Jazz is recognized as a major element in western swing, and it's on display here in the fresh arrangements and superb musicianship that make this CD a must. Morrell trades in his steel guitar for a dobro on several tracks. Known primarily as a bluegrass instrument, the artist's unique tuning and touch give the dobro a new voice in acoustic jazz.
